Born in Poland, Barbara McNaught lived in five countries and speaks five languages including French, German, Polish, Russian and English. Before becoming an international actress, Barbara studied Law at Warsaw University. At the age of 18, she was 'talent spotted' and went on to become a successful photo model and then actress under acting name Barbara Nielsen. She appeared in 25 leading movie roles with notable actors such as: Kurt Jurgens, Jack Thompson, Malcolm MacDowell, Susan Strasberg, Arnold Vosloo and many others in Austria, Germany, France, South Africa and Australia. It was South Africa that Barbara turned her attention to fundraising, taking on the challenge of raising one million Rand in one year for the National School of the Arts the first multiracial school in South Africa. 

In 2001, Barbara and her family migrated to Perth to escape the violence occurring in South Africa. On her arrival, she was surprised by the quiet that surrounded Perth and the lack of networking opportunities in Western Australia at that time. Barbara saw this as an opening to help incorporate a big city mentality into a small town and launched a networking and fundraising events in 2002. Barbara is also the host and producer of the Hello Darlink! Talk show, introducing life-changing stories of people who say 'Hello Darlink!' to life. 

Throughout the years, Barbara has been passionate in creating prestigious awareness campaigns and events supporting worthy causes including breast cancer awareness, men's mental health and prevention of domestic violence through the 'Kiss Violence Against Women Goodbye!' campaign.
