A Soft Landing is a heartfelt memoir of resilience, identity, and transformation. From apartheid-era Johannesburg to rural Australia, Khatija Halabi shares her extraordinary journey of migration, motherhood, and purpose.
 
As the first woman in her immediate family to pursue higher education, Khatija defied cultural expectations and financial obstacles to become a successful audiologist and entrepreneur. Through her business and community leadership, she champions other women in business, particularly migrant and Muslim women, creating networks of support, visibility, and empowerment.
 
Driven by the African philosophy of Ubuntu, “I am because we are”. Khatija remains deeply connected to her roots, giving back to the African diaspora through mentorship, advocacy, and a commitment to intergenerational upliftment.
